Photo with the Pharaoh
Illustration and packaging created for self-promotion. The idea started with poking fun at the discovered sunken city of Heracleion and evolved in to the family photo plenty of tourist traps are guilty of. Heracleion was an Egyptian city near the coasts of Alexandria that was lost underwater for over a thousand years due to earthquakes and floods during the 6th or 7th century A.D.
Ads from 1930's and 40's pulp magazines have been altered to included and promote my illustration.
